any excuse to visit

Like most adults, you have friends that you haven't seen in quite some time or nearly enough; but when you catch up, you really catch up! Like you don't miss a beat. My friends, Michael and Aubrey, live in Evansville, so I was lucky that I got to stay with them for the weekend.

Car rides themselves are fun and this car ride was about 4 hours. Four hours that I got to be in my own element, reaching into the passenger seat for my cheese crackers every few minutes! I never leave for trips without snacks.

While I did have to work all day Saturday, Sunday we got to hang out and see some sights. We walked nearly 3-5 miles all around Evansville.

We bought our morning coffee at Penny Lane Coffee House, saw some old style brick buildings on the way, and continued on to the Kentucky/Indiana riverfront. Snapped some selfies of course! Perused downtown (which was quiet with it being Sunday).

We did, however, stop at a cat café. I'm allergic, but I will take any chance to pet animals! I don't usually walk around an entire town like that, but it was well worth it!

shooting for Jordan Barclay

at the Cross-Eyed Cricket in Evansville, IN

I didn't get to learn too much about Tori and Casey on their wedding day. Going in, I knew they were a Southern Indiana couple that own a restaurant called Hometown Roots.

I really wanted to find out more about their restaurant, but who's gonna bring up work on the day that's only about them and their love? I did quickly learn how fun they would be when the boys started making drinks at 11am. There was orange juice at least!

I second shot this wedding for Jordan Barclay and got to experience yet another fun couple and charming Southern locations, including the Comfort by the Cross-Eyed Cricket, where they held their reception.
